Publish your own Magazine

Ever wanted to publish your own magazine? I have. When my sisters and I were little we would write articles and draw pictures and tape it all together and call it good. I LOVED it! So imagine my excitement when I came across this: MagCloud.com where you can publish your own printed magazine. AWESOME!!!

Went a Little Craft Crazy

My kryptonite is crafty places and good deals... and when the two are found in one place I'm in T.R.O.U.B.L.E! This tends to be the result:

I got all this stuff in anticipation for another snow day. So I think I've effectively made sure that there won't be another one. Isn't that just always how it works?

We made little pipe cleaner bugs and then I couldn't help playing around with photo editing. I think I'm addicted...

The Bachelor

Well the cat's outta the bag now, I'm a Bachelor fan. I am slightly embarrassed by this fact and I never watched the show until they had DeAnna Pappas as the Bachelorette, that's when I got hooked. I’ve been watching this whole season and we’re down to the last two girls and I’m disappointed. Jake should be with Ali. End of story. I’m sure the other girls are great but they don’t click with Jake the way Ali did. So I hope that Ali (If Jake doesn't end up telling the other two girls that he loves her and flys out to propose) is the next Bachelorette.

Think Jake's trying to hard? We know you're a pilot.

Snow Day!

There was no school today... AWESOME! The boys and I watched movies as the snow was fallen outside. I decided I would be a little crafty and let all of the laundry and vacuuming fall to the wayside. (Adults need snow days too!)

Made those Shortbread button cookies. Not being a baker (or one that ever uses the oven) I was SHOCKED at how easy these were to make. This was the recipe I used:

2 Cups butter softened

1 Cup white sugar

4 Cups flour

2 teaspoons vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter and sugar untill fluffy then add flour and vanilla. Mix well. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Seriously, couldn't have been easier. And they're good!!!

I found this book at Salvation army, ripped the guts out, and put my 2010 planner in :)

I made this fig leaf hair thingy. My mom liked it so much I made her one too. I sewed pipecleaners into it so that you could bend it around your hair and add a little extra strength to it. I think I'll add sequins.
