Camping on Etsy

It’s been forever since I’ve been on Etsy. I haven’t updated my shop (or even visited it) in over a year. I decided to hop on today to see what’s going on. And lo-and-behold this is the first page awesomeness!

I <3 camping! A bunch of friends and I are heading up to camp and go tubing mid-August and I’m super excited! If it’s anything like last year, it’ll be a TON of fun. Maybe I should make everyone badges… you know, for surviving…

Ava Bean, the Dancin Queen

My niece had her first dance recital a few weeks back. Due to scheduling conflicts I was not able to attend but my sister filled me in on the highlights.

She danced, she twirled, and she went the wrong way... It’s dizzying up there with the bright lights and all the spinning around, and then you’re supposed to remember which way to go! Ha! I remember dance class when I was little, all three of us girls had it; jazz, tap, and ballet. I was only in it for the tap shoes.

Connor Turned 9!

Connor turned 9!!! I'm the mother of a 9 year old! It really hasn't sunk in yet. It's a rather odd feeling to know that my son will be going into 4th grade in September. Really, really odd... He's such a big boy! He went to his first sleep over camp this summer and had a blast (while I stressed out about him).

4th of July was at Addison Oaks. They had some really great fire works but I had my little camera and didn't even try to capture them :)

No, not my wedding! One of my girlfriends from high school decided that it would be a great idea to get married in St. Lucia. How could I turn down the opportunity to go to paradise? And why would I ever want to??? It was a whirlwind of activity and absolutely gorgeous!

Work lost power on Wednesday and I was able to come home early. Needless to say I was SUPER excited. I pulled out our little swimming pools and let the boys play in them.

This is our pet tree frog. His name is Pebble.

Iris's are my favorite flower. Remember those How-to-draw shows on PBS  like "The Joy of Painting"? Well, I used to watch those all the time and the first flower I ever attempted to draw was an Iris. It's been my favoirte ever since.
