Bangin
I did it. I took the plunge. I did something that I have never done before. Something that I've wanted and talked about doing for a long time. I got bangs! *gong sounds and fireworks go off* Not gonna lie, I'm still freakin' out a bit. I've got wild hair on the best of days and adding bangs into the equation always stressed me out. But after seeing Kendra Robinson's gorgeous hair (love the color too) and getting a new job I thought it was time for a change. Time to be daring and maybe a little weird.

Ryan Gosling Love
I have a crush on Ryan Gosling. (Shocker, I know) I've come across these "Hey Girl" pictures a few times and think they are hilarious. After a recent breakup I decided that I would jump on that exquisitely chiseled and dashingly handsome bandwagon. So this is what I think Ryan Gosling would say:

Thanks Ryan, feelin' a little better now.

Happy Awkward Day
What Valentine's Day should be known as. Society has said that Valentine's Day is the day where you reaffirm the love that you feel for the people that you feel..it...for.. or whatever. Or, as most people do, just tell everyone, even those who you don't love, "Happy Valentines Day". Why? I've always thought it was a pointless holiday. You should be telling the people you love that you love them everyday not just once a year.
It really should be a day for saying the things that aren't socially acceptable to tell people on a regular basis. Like: "You're a Slacker", "You Really Annoy Me" or "You Smell". See... Awkward! Things that you'd like to say but just never really felt like it was right. Also, "I Love You" most certainly fits this holiday description for some people.
Any-who, Con and Jamie had Valentine's Day parties at school and they were supposed to decorate a box. I really like bucking tradition and decided to make Valentine's Day burlap envelopes. This picture is a bit grainy but there's a postage stamp in the top right corner. :) The boys liked them and that's all that mattered.

My Bucket List #1
It was recently (yesterday) pointed out to me that I do not have a bucket list. So while Jenny and I were sitting on the couch "watching" the Superbowl, i.e. looking at Pinterest, I decided that the first thing on my bucket list would be to die my hair pastel colors. I LOVE the pinks and blues that I keep seeing every where. Here are a few of my favorites.

Now that's Dedication
Have you seen the new J.C. Penney commercials that features people yelling? I'm not a huge fan of these but it's supposedly inline with their new pricing structure (which isn't at all clear in their ads), but I digress. There is one lady in these commercials that cracks my up every time.
Look at that dedication! I don't know what it is about her that makes me laugh but at one point she's shaking she's yelling so hard! I wonder if that's what I look like when I call for a cab? Hopefully, it's the dedication they see and not the crazy. ;)
With the Superbowl coming up this weekend (surprised I know that) I wonder what gems there will be? I only watch the Superbowl for the commercials, how about you?

Share Time
I ran across this great blog post about "How Blogging Became my Boyfriend" on Independent Fashion Blogger and I'm not gonna lie, I was nodding my head in agreement with everything they posted.
I tell people we met at the Library. Then I bust out laughing and tell them the truth anyway. If I were to start an internet dating site it would be called "The Library" so I could say it with a straight face.
Pretty sure every girl rationalizes it this way... so it has to be true ;) Love the "We're Official on Facebook" because that's a HUGE step nowadays. It's legit. <3

Christmas time in the country
For the tree this year we did something a tad different. We pulled down some of the wild grape vines, twisted them into a garland and spray painted them gold. I think it turned out really well. The kiddies were really good sports and let me take a zillion pics of them for this years christmas card.
